The sun dipped below the horizon, casting an eerie glow over the quaint town of Veridian. The streets were empty, save for the occasional flicker of a streetlight. Inside the dimly lit café, Emily sat alone, her fingers trembling as she sipped her coffee. Her eyes were fixed on the mirror behind the counter, where her reflection stared back at her with an unsettling familiarity.

Emily had always been a dreamer, a daydreamer, but lately, her dreams had become increasingly vivid, bordering on the bizarre.
